One of the interesting places we got to eat in is actually a franchise. Pixie’s grill is not just any franchise, it’s a franchise that specializes in the Valencia family’s top produce: the Boneless Bangus.
Having been a heavy Bangus (Chanos chanos) consumer when I was a kid i was quite excited to eat their Boneless bangus. This happens to be their specialty. I love eating fish but it’s a great nuisance to have to go through the bones. I’ve had my fair share of bones in my throat.
Fortunately for me, Pixie’s Grill offers their special Boneless bangus. What exactly is so special about this boneless bangus. I mean, it’s just boneless bangus right? Well for one thing, most boneless banguses (is that even right?) are served opened up with the belly all ready for scooping. This one is served closed with unique grill marks around it.
When I finally bit into it, I can say that bangus did have a unique taste. According to Pixie’s web page, the unique boneless bangus taste is what makes their Bangus special.
The nice thing about this grill place is that they also offer a wide variety of food. We got to try some chicken and pork dishes. The prices are not that bad either. 188php for a Boneless bangus, wait, SPECIAL boneless bangus is definitely worth it.
So next time you are up for some grilled or ‘Sinugbang’ treats then try to drop by your nearest Pixie’s Grill. They’ve got several branches, a hundred plus I think, around the country. In Cebu we have it in Talamban. Do try to pay the nice franchise a visit and give yourself a Boneless Bangus treat.
